Things have been a little quiet on this site because in April I was flat out writing to get ready for my trip to LA for script revisions and to pitch my new screenplay ‘Last Days of the Empire Hotel’ and in May I had a holiday.
No computer – felt like I’d had a limb removed! Accidentally forgot my phone – trauma! what I did have was a bike, three friends and six days cycling in the Loire Valley in France.
Beautiful, green and mostly flat.
Also mostly very peaceful apart from those trigger happy French farmers firing at wildlife (food on the hoof) and occasionally we had to go onto secondary roads and deal with traffic, although we were treated with great respect by motorists, so can’t complain about that.
The food was delicious, lots of excellent local wine and bread. All in all very relaxing and a wonderful to clear the head.
Back on the laptop now. Man! it’s good to get that damn helmet off!
