We are now half way through the 2010 ’12 Chapters in 12 Months’ programme and got together to celebrate with a bring-a-plate dinner at my house on Friday night.
We had a fabulous night with everyone comparing stories and catching up with people they had crossed paths with in previous workshops. Several people traveled long distances to get there which was terrific and I think they felt it was well worth effort to connect with the rest of the group. A couple of people couldn’t make it – our token male unfortunately being one of them.
We had soooo much food we were all bursting and hopefully we’ll all be able to get together again at the end of the year – manuscript in hand! – and do it all again.
It was thrilling to see the friendships and community that has formed through the workshops with people sharing their struggles and their stories and truly getting to know each other.
Everyone left determined to push on – write to the end. (sorry, lame pun!)
